What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a thorough assessment of your current knowledge, skills and experience within a particular field or industry.
How is the Evidence and Certificate Assessed?
Complete the Enquiry Form here and our RPL team will contact you to discuss your knowledge, skills and experience within the building and construction industry. They will also send you the course RPL Evidence Guide which details the information you would need to supply to support and verify your skills, knowledge, and experience.
Once the assessor has received your supporting RPL/RCC documents they will assess any RPL/RCC that may apply against your knowledge, skills and experience as it relates against the course you are seeking RPL/RCC for. There may be times when we will ask you for further information. You will be kept in the loop regarding the process every step of the way.
One of our experienced RPL assessors will contact you and conduct a thorough and in-depth Competency Conversation. They will also advise you of any further evidence needed to finalise your RPL/RCC assessment.
After the assessor has conducted the RPL/RCC assessment and competency conversation (if required), they will send you an RPL/RCC Advice Letter. The Advice Letter sets out any exemptions that have been applied to units or tasks and what gap training may still be required.
